Dear Josepha, you are one of my muses -
You have a very sophisticated personal style, which I love. What inspires your personal style?
Thank you, my dear! I've always been drawn to pieces that elevate a feeling of empowerment. For me that means minimalistic designs in monochrome colors with a focus on a strong silhouette. Classy, timeless with a twist.
Since my mother is a master tailor I developed a sense of craftmanship at a very early age and admire a high quality manufactured piece!
Through my job I get to explore my personal style even further, because I can divide my personal taste into pieces I would love to wear, and pieces I would love to style on someone else or stage for a shooting or a red carpet appearance... Personal style is always evolving like your character always is. My personal style has a signature, but is forever changing. I draw my biggest inspiration from strong women, architecture and nature.
Do you have a special relation to jewellery ?
Oh yes, I'm obsessed with jewellery. Ever since my early teens I collected earrings and necklaces like treasures and still have most of these pieces in my archive. I just find jewelry to be the best accessory. You can wear the most simple outfit but with the right earrings it becomes a sophisticated look.
What is it what you love about uncommon matters ?
I love uncommon matters for their maximalist minimalism. The designs are so simple, yet bold. Whenever I wear one of your pieces, I get compliments wherever I go. My ears are very sensitive, but since the um pieces are so light I never have to compromise style against comfort.
How do you envision the um pieces to be styled (for our customers)?
I wear the um pieces everyday and envision all customers to be bold enough to wear them whenever they want!
Do you have a message or something you would like to share ?
Speaking of eye catching jewelry, I love complimenting other people on their outfits. There is something so empowering about spreading positive vibes through a simple compliment. I have built my entire portfolio on teamwork with women and love to see that sisterhood has become a solid philosophy between women. Kindness holds so much power <3
