She originally founded uncommon matters as a platform for her personal artistic endeavors. The first works were limited editions and unique pieces for exhibition. Due to their simple intricacy and fluid usage of both fine and novel materials Riech’s precise couture pieces quickly found a following, both in galleries and high-end boutiques. um has been recognized by top luxury and business publications including Vogue, Women’s Wear Daily and the Financial Times. In 2015, um was selected for the Vogue Italia New Talents. um works are also regularly exhibited at contemporary art and design galleries worldwide, including Mouvements Modernes and Minimasterpieces in Paris, Oona in Berlin, Salon 94 Bowery in NY. The brand is also stocked in museums stores such as Cooper Hewitt, Moma Museum and Hauser Wirth Gallery. Additionally, Riech has designed capsule jewelry and accessories collections as well as lifestyle and fragrance products for Hugo Boss, Hermès Paris, the house of Paco Rabanne, Roksanda Ilincic, and French silversmith Christofle.
